Unlocated
You know the total, not the place
One number across every warehouse hides the fact that the stock is in the wrong one.
Quantity per location rather than one company total, a ledger that updates as goods are received, issued, transferred and adjusted, and an alert that arrives before the stock-out does.
A total never tells you whether the depot can ship.
Receipts, issues, transfers and adjustments, each with a cause.
Reorder levels raise the alert before a customer does.
Valuation and ageing, so you see the cash tied up.
Three gaps account for most of what a stockholding business loses, and none of them is a buying problem.
Unlocated
One number across every warehouse hides the fact that the stock is in the wrong one.
Untraced
Goods move without an entry, so the count drifts and nobody can say which movement caused it.
Unnoticed
Reorder levels live in a person's judgement, so a shortage is found by a customer, not a report.
Neome closes all three by holding quantity per place, making every movement an entry, and putting the threshold on the item.
Items and warehouses
Every item carries its category, unit, reorder level and safety stock, and its quantity is held per warehouse rather than as one figure. That is the difference between knowing you have four hundred bags and knowing whether the depot taking the order has any.
Receiving
A goods receipt is raised against the purchase order, recording what was ordered, what arrived and what was rejected. Accepting it updates the ledger in the same action, so there is no second place anyone has to remember to update afterwards.
Transfers and adjustments
A transfer moves quantity out of one warehouse and into another with a transit state in between, so nothing sits in neither. An adjustment for damage or a count difference is raised with a reason and waits for approval before it touches the ledger.
Alerts
Reorder level and safety stock sit on the item, so falling below either raises a low-stock alert rather than waiting for someone to notice. The point is not the alert; it is that the threshold is a number the business agreed rather than a judgement made under pressure.
Reporting
Set a date range and every figure below it is bounded by those dates.
What is tied up?
The value of what you hold, by warehouse and by category, which is the number the balance sheet asks for and the one nobody can produce from a shelf count.
How much of it is working?
The split between stock that turns and stock that sits, so the working capital question is answered item by item rather than in aggregate.
What has sat too long?
Stock by how long it has been held, which is usually where the cash went and the first place to look when the balance and the shelf disagree.
Category, unit, reorder and safety stock.
Quantity per location, not one total.
Structured storage within a warehouse.
Every movement, with its cause.
GRN against the purchase order.
Out of one book and into another.
With a reason, and an approval.
Raised before the stock-out.
What is tied up, and where.
What has sat too long.
Executive, manager and admin scopes.
Count and check from the floor.
The questions operations teams ask before the first count goes into Neome.
